Setac pursuit ends in collision involving pedestrian

SEATAC, WA – A 74-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a suspect fleeing police on I-5 Monday afternoon.

According to the Associated Press, the chase began when state troopers attempted to pull over a 32-year-old man going over 95 mph. Upon approach, the driver gave officers several different names before speeding away.

The driver struck the pedestrian shortly after exiting the freeway near 220th Street and Military Road. The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver was arrested on a number of charges, including a pre-existing felony warrant.
