News: Crash on Ship Canal Bridge blocks southbound I-5

SEATTLE, WA – A crash on Ship Canal Bridge blocked multiple lanes of southbound I-5 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Washington State Department of Transportation tweeted that the crash occurred on Ship Canal Bridge just south of NE 45th Street at around 4:55 p.m.

All but two lanes of traffic on southbound I-5 in the area were blocked until approximately 5:49 p.m. WSDOT also reported on Twitter traffic was backed up to Green Lake.

The cause of the crash is unknown. No injuries have been reported yet.
